Sales
We are looking for one experienced salesperson for calling on roofers, builders, and architects.
Your ability to sell value and style rather than low price is a necessary attribute. Your primary territory will be the Lower Mainland - Greater Vancouver - Fraser Valley region.
We also work with homeowners and builders on the jobsites and in our "one of a kind" showroom and you will be required to discuss roofing systems and style choices with them in detail.
Working within a team-based environment as well as relationship building with clients are key attributes. You will be able to network and assist us in creating work for our clients through our referral program.
We can provide knowledge base training for those that have good basic skill sets as salespeople, although the right individuals have roofing material or exterior building material experience and or knowledge.
We specialize in steep roofing materials including shingles, wood, slate, concrete and clay roof tiles, plus we manufacture metal roofing, flashings, and trims.

2. Sheet-metal Mechanic
Sheet metal shop ... custom and production persons
BURNABY, and KELOWNA and VANCOUVER ISLAND
We are looking for two good people to work in our sheet metal shops. Preference is for individuals who can do custom flashings, and custom fabrication. Lead Hand or shop supervisor position available, but hands on will still be required.
We have two modern sheet metal shops with computerized folding equipment that specializes in custom flashings and trims for roofing and exterior building envelopes. We also roll form metal roofing using advanced equipment.
Although we can train right person, we are looking for good people with the experience or know-how to do custom layout work or flashing bending with the least amount of supervision. We certainly can train to operate our computerized brakes.

3. Drivers
for roofing conveyor truck ...
and crane truck positions available Spring 2010
We are looking for a class 5 with air for single axle conveyor truck, plus class 3 or higher license driver for our tandem axle conveyor and crane trucks, with lots of local roads knowledge for the Greater Vancouver region. Good energy, good attitude, friendly with customers ... we have year round work for you.
Lifting of roofing shingle bundles in a fast paced environment is required. Only energetic self motivated individuals need apply. Customer friendly and good attitude are required. Ability to lift 50 to 85 lb bundles is required, but this usually occurs only intermittently during the day when arriving at jobsites. Moffat truck-attached mobile forklifts may also be used.
Experience with roofing conveyor preferred, but we will train right individual. One truck requires only an Air Ticket Class 5, others require class 3, one truck requires Class 1 license.
Flat-deck trucks experience preferred including how to properly tie down loads. We have both single axle and tandem axle units. We also have crane trucks with potential job opportunities.
If you have done drywall deliveries... our work is much easier, and more pleasant. I you have experience driving logging trucks, we have better long term prospects for employment.
Some of our drivers have advanced within our organization to key inside positions, so the opportunities for advancement lie within each individual's proven performance and determination.

Labourers: Production and packaging and delivery swamping
Job requires physically fit individuals who can lift heavy materials. Repackaging of concrete roof tiles in our bundling operation is primary task. Secondary tasks include metal shop production / packaging, delivery swamping of shingles onto rooftops via conveyor unloading, and general yard warehouse labour. Energetic self motivated individuals only need apply.
Generally full time work available. Piece work bonus system available for right team of workers.
In addition, we are also on the look for individuals who can swamp materials onto rooftops, using our roofing conveyors. Again lifting of heavy shingle bundles is required, plus comfort with heights is mandatory.
Hourly rates are negotiated at time of hire, and will be commensurate with experience and productivity.
