has created a great replication of old wood cedar
shingles in neutral shades of grays and light browns, and they used to
call this colour Weathered Wood. It
has been generally a lighter appearance of old
wood shakes tones such as one would find in the Oregon Coast region ...a
Pacific Driftwood on a sunlit sandy beach. A popular choice over the
of April 2006 Weathered Wood has been replaced by two
NEW colour blend versions
/ variations of the old Weathered Wood...
The colour Weathered
Wood that has been very popular over the years has been updated, the
result being two colours with a richer blend and a high definition look.
Mountain Timber is an
enhanced higher definition version of the former Weathered Wood with
highlights of brown and dark cream on a neutral taupe weathered blend.
It has a more brown nature, and therefore goes best with homes with
brown trims versus gray trims or siding.
Country Gray has the
same neutral base as the former weathered wood colour, except the highlights are in a bluish gray plus yellow
cedar splashes. Country Gray is actually the true replacement colour for
weathered wood. This colour works well on either gray or brown themed
homes, and is a fantastic addition to the Certainteed Landmark "TL"
Both new colour blends
retain the neutral nature of the former weathered wood colour, yet they offer greater highlights. They both are a
lighter colour tone than Old Overton which is Certainteed's Landmark TL
Ultimate aged cedar look.
